PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
Building Telecommunications Infrastructure on Challenging Terrain
Schumaker Construction is completing a new raw-land cellular tower site in Auburn, Massachusetts for AT&T, providing the civil construction necessary to develop a telecommunications site on particularly challenging terrain.
The approximately three-month project required construction on the side of a steep hill, making site preparation and structural support a critical part of the build. A major component of the project is the construction of a substantial retaining wall designed to establish and stabilize the usable area needed for the new tower site.
The Schumaker Construction team is handling the foundation, concrete, rebar and retaining wall construction, bringing together the civil and structural components necessary to create a stable foundation for the telecommunications infrastructure.
Projects like Auburn demonstrate the importance of having an experienced telecommunications construction contractor capable of adapting a site design to difficult terrain while maintaining the structural requirements of a new cellular facility.
